Here are a few bands that I want to tell you all about.

First up is one of my favorite bands from Boston, Irepress. They’re coming out with a new record on February 17th, which is next week, so make sure you pre-order now! They have an awesome promotion going on for a T-shirt and vinyl through Translation Loss Records. You can listen to Cyette Phiur from the new album on their Myspace page. And you can download another track called D’aspair. They’re doing completely new and exciting things here.

Next is a band from my home state, which makes me like them even more, East of the Wall. This band is considered a progressive metal band. They are entirely instrumental leaving room for endless possibilities that they successfully implore through technology and tonality. I’ve only recently started listening to this band, but what i have picked up has been incredible. You can check out their myspace as well. Make sure you listen to Winter Breath, this song is sick.

A band from England, This Town Needs Guns, is an instrumental band that i find comparable to the likes of Piglet for the instrumental style and Damiera for their vocals. They are on tour right now. They’ve got a bunch of records out, so i suggest picking one or all of them up because they are all amazing. Again, a link to their myspace page. Particularly, check out 26 is Dancier than 4 (and try to count it), and Chinchilla.

Also, on the art end, a friend of mine, Clara Rice, is out in California taking awesome photographs. Please check out her blog, she is extremely talented.
