The Start of a New Semester

First Day of Classes Today at Northeastern!

This semester, a few friends of mine have moved across the country to California (seperately) for Co-op jobs and experiences.  One of them being an old teammate of mine, Marissa.  I just wanted to post a link to her blog because I think that her experience will be very exciting as she is working as an intern on the Ellen Degeneres Show.  You can keep track of her LA shenanigans (here)

Also, this semester is bringing a decent amount of change to myself and the people around me. Ben and I will be working exceptionally hard on our side project The Old House in Anson.  We will be getting together a collective of musicians to help us carry out our dreams.  I think you all will be extremely intrigued with this project as there will be some interesting aspects to it (ie. visuals). You can count on my keeping this blog well informed as well.

I’m still working on finishing up Conversation Magnetique(sonata for cello).  It shouldn’t take much longer, as I have completed the exposition and am well into the development.  It should run to be about 8 minutes in length and will be recorded within the month.  The score in pdf format as well as the audio will be up on the sarahfylak.com/works section soon after the recording.

So that’s mostly it for now, a lot of new exciting things happening!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s!

Hi there, I have just found your site while browsing on the Internet as I am researching some information on electric cellos!. I think it’s a good blog so I have bookmarked you and I intend to return soon to have a proper browse when I can give it more time.
